Over the last 10 years, Thailand-based Centara Hotels & Resorts has expanded its footprint from 10 properties to more 60 hotels in 12 countries, opened or under development. The group made its Middle East debut last year with the opening of Centara Muscat Hotel Oman.

Centara currently has three more hotels in its Middle East pipeline, including the 601-key Centara Deira Islands Beach Resort Dubai, which is scheduled to open in 2020. The family-focused resort will feature a waterpark, multiple restaurants, and other facilities.
The operator also launched a new brand — COSI — that caters to the millennial market and “digitally-driven travellers”. COSI hotels will feature smart phone integration in rooms, as well as 24/7 digital social play spaces and free daily credit to be used towards food and beverage.
